Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu Shooting Started Today

Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu has started it’s shooting from today in Uttrakhand. After the huge success of Padmaavat Shahid had got a totally different comedy and drama movie. The movie is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and is written by Garima, the casting of the movie is Yami Gautam, Shahid Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor.

The movie is all about the electricity bill issue how a common man fights against the power distribution companies. Actress Yami Gautam has cast in the movie against Shahid Kapoor in the movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu. according to a report Yami is taking help of Hindi literature to prep for her role. She playing a role of a lawyer in the movie. She said ” There aren’t many references on screen for my character, but honestly that makes the prep even more exciting. I am working on my dialect and my language, and what better source than Hindi literature. I am also looking forward to my prep with Shree and the cast as the best comes out when the entire team collaborates,”.

Shahid Kapoor Has shared one of the pictures from the set at Uttrakhand, at which Shahid Kapoor is seen riding a bike and is looking very handsome. He is wearing a blue jacket and black denim jeans with sunglasses.

In an interview, Shree Narayan Singh, the director of Batti Gul Meter Chalu said that Shahid is a very good actor, he liked the story of the movie so much that he agreed to sign the film within five minutes. Shahid is playing a role of Lawyer in the movie. Shahid Kapoor added that  Shree Narayan Singh, who earlier made Toilet Ek Prem is going to direct this film and as like his last movie this time also he chose an issue of the social issue. And I am very much excited to work with him.
