Film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi Review
Mudassar Aziz’s – Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi is a light comedy film. There is literally a lot of humour in the film, but the film is quite jumbled somewhere you would find it relevant and somewhere it’s just stitched and stretched for the sake of the genre it belongs to. Either way, the movie does tickle your funny bone – hence it is safe to say it’s worth your time.
Film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi is managed to collect 2.32 crores on its first day, 10.71 crores in its first weekend, 17.65 crores on its first week, making a grand total of 28.82 crores. Now with additions like the talented Sonakshi Sinha and singer Jassie Gill to the cast, the movie is going to show wonders at the box office.
Film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has Sonakshi Sinha as the MAIN Happy and Diana Penty as the second Happy. Yes, Sonakshi dominates the film this time and the script doesn’t really give much space to Diana as she was there in the first part. As we said in our Mid-Review, the movie lacks in screenplay, we definitely keep the same stance now that we have watched the entire film. Despite seeing the second half, we can say all the fragments were loosely stitched. Sonakshi has been fair in displaying her comic side but it’s Jimmy Sheirgill and Piyush Mishra who take back the limelight and also win our hearts. Jimmy and Piyush’s India and Pakistan banter adds to the humour quotient of the movie.
Coming to Jassie Gill, he does a brilliant job, considering it is his Bollywood debut – he tried to display his acting shades, but there’s more to discover. Ali Fazal, Denzil Smith, Aparshakti Khurrana, Bijou Thaangjam and Jason Tham play their respective parts in the best way they could possibly do.
The dialogues in the movie do make you laugh but don’t really make an impact. There are some which make no sense at all but have been added in the movie. Music in the movie is catchy but doesn’t really add to plot or help it grow.
Confusion, even in the end, persists. The plot is jumbled up, but the movie overall is not a so bad watch at all. It’s a light comedy and you can destress yourself. But, don’t expect much in terms of a story.
