Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan, known as Amitabh Bachchan is Bollywood famous actor specially for his excellent acting. His roles in action movies like Zanjeer, sholey makes him famous and people use to call him as “Angry Young Man”. 1)Zanjeer (1973) –
Zanjeer was indian crime action movie written by Salim Javed and directed, produced by Prakash Mehra. This was the first movie that change the trend of romantic films to and takes the film industry to the direction of crime and action. The movie is all about a man who frustrated with the corruption and low economic growth and raise his voice against it, this movie had made the struggling Amitabh Bachchan to a rising star. The movie was a blockbuster movie in India as well as overseas also.
2)Sholey (1975) –
Soley was one of the superb and mostly liked films. It was written by Salim-Javed, directed by Ramesh Sippy, and produced by his father G. P. Sippy. The film was one of his best cult epic movies. It was so famous that people were going to the box office in a huge crowd and giving it a big-big thumbs up, the movie is still in the list evergreen movie, like the people of new generation also love to watch the movie on and on. It broke all the record of continuously showing in many theaters across India.
3)Don (1978) –
Again there was a superhit crime action movie written by Salim-Javed (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar), produced by Nariman Irani, and directed by Chandra Barot. In the movie Amitabh Bachchan has a double role one is a wanted criminal, he dies in a police chase then Don’s lookalike Vijay comes into the role he plays the role of Don, only the DSP D’Silva is the only one who knows the truth. The film was the third highest-grossing Indian film of 1978 and was classified a golden jubilee by Box Office India.
4)Deewaar (1981) –
Deewaar (The Wall) was 1975 Indian crime drama film, written by Salim-Javed (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar), directed by Yash Chopra. Showing the tumultuous socio-political climate of 1970s India. The movie is about two brothers they struggle to survive in slums and eventually they find themselves on opposite sides of the law. The movie Bachchan played an underworld gangster. The film receives the Filmfare Best Movie Award of 1975.
5)Coolie (1983) –
A film directed by Manmohan Desai and written by Kader Khan where Amitabh Bachchan was playing a role of the coolie. The movie is again loved by all the viewers and was again a superhit able to collect 9 corers approx.
6)Mard (1985) –
Mard was also an action movie written by Inder Raj Anand (dialogue), Pushpa Raj Anand and directed by Manmohan Desai. The movie was successful to collect the highest rate of an amount at the box office. In the movie, Amitabh Bachchan has played the role of Azad’s son ( a king who was locked in a dungeon by General Dyer who wants to take over his kingdom). He comes to take revenge and rescue his father.
7) Satte Pe Satta (1982) –
Satte pe Satta is a quite different movie breaking the image of “Angry Young Man” to a charming and adorable role. People also liked Amitabh playing this character and again it gives a superhit movie collection in the Bollywood Industry. Amitabh is playing a role as Ravi the elder brother of the seven. He falls in love with Indu a nurse and marries her, after that she changed their life into a well-civilized people. Later on, Ravi was kidnapped and is replaced by a lookalike who was a murderer, but their love and affection make the emotionless murderer into a good person.
8)Agneepath (1990) –
Agneepath is also one of his Indian crime drama film directed by Mukul Anand. The Title of the movie was taken from the poem called Agneepath which was written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan ( Amitabh Bachchan’s father ). Agneepath is one of the best cult movies over the years. He receives his first National Film Award for Best Actor at the 38th National Film Awards for his performance. But the movie was unable to collect from the boxoffice and the film was recorded as the flop movies but though it makes Amitabh Bachchan more to glow as a star and giving him the opportunity of another blockbusters movies.
9) Black (2005) –
Black is an Indian drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Black revolves a girl who is deaf and blind and her relationship with her teacher. The movie is inspired by Helen Keller’s life and her struggle. The movie gives a huge contribution to the box office by becoming the second highest grossing Indian film worldwide in 2005 and in India it became the highest-grossing 2005 in Indian film overseas.
10) Paa (2009) –
Paa is Indian comedy-drama film directed by R. Balakrishnan. The film is based on a rare genetic condition called progeria. In the movie 12-year-old Auro who grew
up with her mother Vidya, has this disorder. when Auro came to that his father has existence then he met with him and how a father tries to help out his son with the rare condition that causes a young boy to turn down to age beyond his years.
