R.Balki’s upcoming movie PADMAN is an India biographical-comedy-drama which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social activist from Tamil Nadu.
The film will be based on Twinkle Khanna ‘s book,”The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad. Padman revolves around the story of Arunachalam who invented low-cost sanitary pads, a Social activist who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.
In India talking about Mensuration is a taboo, the main agenda of this movie is to reach out to a wide audience to create awareness and eradicate the superstitions surrounding sanitary pads that’s prevalent and practiced in India till today.
Bhansali’s Padmavati is based on a legendary Rajput Queen Rani Padmavati, who committed Jauhar(self-immolation) to protect their honor, she came to be seen as a historical figure who defended her honor against a Muslim invader.
The film became controversial during production by many organizations claiming that the film depicts factual inaccuracies, portraying the Rajput queen Padmavati in a bad light.
The makers held a special screening of Padmavati in November 2017 and the film was praised and described it as “the greatest tribute to Rajput pride.” It was also stated that the film does not contain any dream sequence or the intimate scene between Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) and Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh).
After lots of controversies Padmavati got U/A certificate which was a big relief for the team of Padmavati, the film will have to undergo some modifications and its title is likely to be changed to “Padmavat”.
‘Sandeep Singh’ Ex-captain of Indian Hockey Team and the story is all about the comeback story of the Hockey player, the role of Sandeep Singh is likely to be played by Diljit Dosanjh who has gone through extensive training for their hockey playing skills by strict professionals.
The story is all about how he was seriously injured after being hit by an accidental gunshot, He was almost paralyzed and on a wheelchair for two years of his life. Singh not only recovered from that serious injury but also established himself again in the team.
Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi’s upcoming Indian epic biographic film ‘Manikarnika’ is based on the life story of Rani Lakshmi bai who was one of the leading figures of Indian history and became a symbol of resistance to the British Raj for Indian nationalists.
Kangana Ranaut is likely to play the role of Manikarnika, the story is mainly based on her war against the British East Indian Company. The movie is likely to be released this year, let’s see how much the audiences like her this role.
